I am an MEng Advanced Manufacturing and Design student with 4 years of professional work experience and a background in design, controls, and quality, currently specializing in fiber optic engineering.
Please see some of my professional skills below:
- Programming .NET computer applications with Github
- Designing high precision parts in programs like Autocad and Solidworks
- Leading teams of people and projects
- Hands on machining with CNC lathes, mills, as well as operating a wide range of manual and power tools
In my future career, I expect to drive positive change that leads to groundbreaking advancements in manufacturing engineering. A few projects I am working on that I enjoy are engineering an adaptable bioreactor for sustained population growth and resource accessibility, and sapphire fiber optic cables for better biomedical device cables and high powered temperature sensors.
My technical experience innovating manufacturing solutions for a Fortune 500 company and a startup company, as well as my extensive leadership experience leading the startup company’s team of engineers, president, suppliers, and machinists, leading several student organization teams, and driving social change in my community, contribute to my pursuit for a career that will both challenge me and allow me to work collaboratively with others to solve complex problems that lead to a more sustainable and equitable world.
